Common problems
My count looks wrong
Check that every trip is entered and that both dates are right — the entry and exit day each count as a full day. Remember the window is rolling: days only free up 180 days after they happened, so a number can look 'stuck' when it is actually correct.
I'm not getting reminders
Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they need notification permission granted and battery optimisation not restricting the app. Toggle alerts off and on in Settings to reschedule them.
I paid but Pro isn't active
Open the paywall and tap Restore purchase. Entitlements are tied to your Google Play account, so make sure the device is signed in with the account you purchased on.
The assistant says it can't verify a figure
That is deliberate. The assistant is only allowed to state numbers produced by the calculation engine; if it cannot obtain one, it refuses rather than guessing. Your dashboard always has the authoritative figure.
Deleting your data
Because Daysly is local-first, most people have no data with us at all.
If you never signed in
Everything is on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it — trips, attachments and settings. There is nothing for us to delete, because we never received anything.
If you enabled cloud backup
Open More → Backup & household, sign in if needed, and choose to delete your account. That removes your email address and your synced trips from our systems. You can also email us from your registered address and we will do it for you.
Purchases are held by Google Play, not by us — manage or cancel a subscription in your Play Store account settings.
Questions
The 180-day window moves every day, so a static calendar can't show your real allowance. Daysly recalculates the whole window continuously and tells you the one date that matters: when you must leave.
Yes. The counter, your history, and all alerts work entirely offline. Only the optional AI assistant and optional cloud backup use the network, and both are off until you turn them on.
No. Daysly works fully without one, and you can buy Pro without one too — purchases are tied to your Google Play account. Signing in is only needed if you want backup or household sharing.
Visa-exempt visitors may spend at most 90 days inside the Schengen area within any rolling 180-day period. Both your entry and exit days count, and all Schengen countries share the same allowance.
Yes. Pro adds the UK Statutory Residence Test, the US Substantial Presence Test, and 183-day watches for any country. These are informational aids, not a substitute for an accountant.
The calculation engine is pure, deterministic, and covered by an extensive automated test suite including property-based tests. That said, rules change and your entries may be incomplete — always verify against official sources before travelling.
All local data is removed with it. If you enabled cloud backup, you can delete your account from within the app, which removes the cloud copy as well.
Android is available first. The app is built cross-platform, so an iOS release is possible later.
